Kelsey Kai is a powerful outside hitter, outstanding libero, and well-rounded all-around volleyball player. Coaches have said that Kelsey is fun to watch, brings a depth of knowledge to the court, and has an infectious “can-do spirit”.
At eight-years-old, Kelsey began her volleyball education, which has continued through club and high school teams. She has played club ball for eight years, the past seven on top teams for Nike Northwest Juniors League. For the 2009 season, Kelsey is playing for Head Coach Rod Jones on the Nike Northwest Juniors 18 Air Elite team. See Roster and Schedule at

Kelsey's 2008 Nike NW team, 18 Power coached by Brian Kamahoahoa, took fifth place in the Columbia Empire Volleyball Regional Tournament. For Nike Kelsey has played outside hitter and libero.
Kelsey has also played three varsity years for Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon as an outside hitter and all-around player. She is a three time 6A OSAA State Competitor and two time 1st Team All-Conference Hitter. Her highlight for the 2008 Reynolds season was a season high of 28 kills against Centennial High School.
Taking both academics and athletics very seriously, Kelsey has organization, determination, skill, and a competitive nature that make her successful on and off the volleyball court. She plans to attend a four-year university to play volleyball and pursue a degree in Secondary Education.
